The problem

Internal portfolio jobs and external customers ran on two different systems.

Print, signage, and CNC work for the internal portfolio (ASP panels, MMTD event signage, MixStand fabrication, BlueBird yard signs) ran on shop-floor notebooks and verbal updates. External customer jobs ran on Shopify orders, email, and an off-site spreadsheet.

Two scheduling systems, two queues, two billing flows. Production capacity was a guess. Lead times were a guess. The customer experience and the cross-portfolio cost-allocation both paid for it.
